Pipedrive has just rolled out a major new feature: Sequences – a powerful addition that lets users build automated, multi-step outreach flows directly within Pipedrive.
You can find the new Sequences function under the “Automation” tab in Pipedrive. It allows you to design structured follow-up flows – for example, sending an email, waiting a few days, and then triggering the next action if no reply is received.
They can be triggered from Leads and Deals; we think you can get more value from the latter.
Strengthening Pipedrive as a prospecting tool
With Sequences, Pipedrive takes a clear step toward becoming a more complete prospecting and sales engagement platform, catching up with tools such as Snov.io, Apollo, and Outreach.
Until now, you could achieve similar flows using automations, but Sequences make the process far more intuitive. You can easily manage linear outreach paths, with clearer timing and conditions.
Also worth noting: Pipedrive’s Automations now include a new action – “Add deal or lead to Sequence” – which means Sequences can be seamlessly triggered as part of your broader workflow setup.
A quick look at Pipedrive Sequences
Getting started is easy: there are a number of template sequences you can opt for to get going, and update as necessary. You can also start from scratch.
Please note: templates don’t feature any pre-written content for emails at the various steps.

Creating a sequence is straight forward as the flow is linear – you don’t have to worry about conditions and branching.

Sequences start when you add a Deal or Lead manually or via an action in an Automation.
What we’d like to see next
While this update is a big leap forward, there’s still room to grow. A few key improvements would make Sequences even more valuable for outbound teams:
LinkedIn integrations. LinkedIn has become a critical channel for B2B prospecting, and being able to include LinkedIn actions within Sequences (such as connection requests or message reminders) would be a major step forward.
More competitive Prospector pricing. To truly compete with prospecting platforms like Snov.io, Apollo, and ZoomInfo, Pipedrive would benefit from reducing the cost of Prospector lead credits.
Conclusion
The main takeaway: Pipedrive continues to evolve beyond CRM into a full prospecting and engagement platform.
The introduction of Sequences is great news for small and medium-sized businesses that rely on Pipedrive for managing leads and automating outreach.
We’d love to see native LinkedIn integration and related actions added to Sequences in future updates – but even as it stands, this feature is a solid and welcome upgrade for any team serious about streamlining their prospecting workflows.
